Mayflower Essay (Book Report) Competition
for Elementary and Middle School Students
Summer is a great time to read. Challenge an elementary or middle/junior high school student who is related (parent, grandparent, aunt or uncle) to a member of the South Carolina Mayflower Society to select one or more of the following books to read this summer.
The SC Mayflower Society continues in its effort this coming summer to educate Junior Members about their Mayflower heritage. This summer elementary/middle/junior high school students have the opportunity to compete in a book report contest.
There will be two financial awards, one for elementary students
(rising 4-6th grades) and a second for middle/junior high school students
(rising 7-9th grades). One savings bond worth $500 at maturity will be
awarded to an elementary student and another savings bond worth $500 at
maturity will be awarded to a middle/junior school student.
